A little Poetry after Christmas

December 26, 2007

I feel like posting a blog, so here is a fun little poem I wrote last year. It barely snowed at all last year and it hasn’t snowed much this year yet either, so I thought it might still apply.

Winter says Hello

Plop, plop, plop
The soles slush on the saline mixture

Prick, prick, prick
The tiny pellets offend bare wrists

Scrape, scrape, scrape
A shovel does its work after a long rest

Finally, an icy greeting to a winter come late.
