The People of India: The Market Vendor

June 21, 2011

One of my goals on this trip was to get more pictures of the people. My favorite shots from my last trip to Asia were always the people shots. In fact, I was looking at a few shots of the Nepalese children I took back in ’08 and I think I might post a few later. I took this in the a food market in Goa. Baba and I were just wandering the streets, taking in the town, and picking up a few grocery items. I loved the color, and while I usually ask permission before taking someone’s picture, this shot was supposed to just be a general shot of the street. As I adjusted the settings, though, this woman looked up and stared at me for a bit. I was so focused on everything else that I didn’t even realize she was still looking when I took the shot, until I was reviewing it afterwards.
