Cori and Sam: A Love Story

October 17, 2012

I visited Texas this weekend and spent the whole of Saturday at the farm. The cows have recently been sold, but we still have two horses. Sam is one of the two horses that my father and stepmother, Cori, rescued. They had been badly abused. In fact, Sam bears the scar of what distinctly looks like a 2×4. Scout, the other rescue, is a bit feisty, but Sam is gentle and skittish. As a result, almost all my pictures of Scout are blurry and while Sam quietly watches my camera like a hawk trying to determine if it can be used against him. I tried not to frighten him, but Cori was a champ at calming him down when I did. Oh and the carrots helped, too.
