About Me

Me:

I’m a wild child who grew up on a farm in conservative Texas – playing in the creek, building forts in the ground and above,  teasing the cows, and sleeping under the stars.  As soon as I graduated high school, I started to skydive professionally for a while.  I moved to ultra-liberal Montreal to get an education in interior design once skydiving got old.  When Canada didn’t want me anymore, I became a lighting designer in New York City, and was a reluctant city gal for six years. In 2010, we moved to South Florida. I love the summer storms and the warm winter breeze.

I like to write. I like to take pictures.  I like to build and design. I like to wax spiritual and poetic.  There’s only so much my husband can take and so I blog.

Family:

Baba – My husband; a city boy through and through, who grew up in the heart of Mumbai, and who can cook up a storm with some very awesome spices.

My immediate family includes two sisters and three brothers, and parents, each with their own spouse.  My parents are pretty unconventional, which means their children are too.

I hope I’m not being too nosy, but what do you use to watermark your pics?? I love the font and size!!!

No, not at all. The font here is simple Arial Black. I use Adobe Photoshop for almost all my editing. The font on my other pictures is called Francisco Lucas Briosa, which I found and downloaded from dafont.com.
I made an action for the watermark, so all I have to do is press a button and boom – watermark done (sometimes I have to manipulate the size afterwards, of course). There is also a great iPhone app called Impression which does watermarks for your phone shots. I believe it’s only 99 cents. The only thing is that the fonts are limited, but it’s really easy to use.
